"Becoming an Outdoors-Woman"
Women of Missouri, have you heard of the new program sponsored by the Missouri Department of Conservation to assist those wanting to learn more about outdoors living and hunting? It's called "Becoming an Outdoors-Woman." This program provides workshops on just about everything from wildflower identification and outdoor cooking, to waterfowl, deer and turkey hunting. With over 35 courses to choose from there is something for everyone. Here is just a sample of the programs available.
Firearms Safety
Archery/Bow Hunting
Basic Fishing
Basic Canoeing
Outdoor Cooking
Intro to Camping
Basic Shotgun
Intro to Turkey Hunting
Bass Fishing
Wilderness Survival
Intro to Trapping
Although this program is titled Becoming an Outdoors Woman, this program is open to anyone who wants to attend. Other workshops offered include "BBOW" Beyond Becoming an Outdoors Woman, and "HOOT", Hands-On Outdoors Training.
